Reviews
Anita runs her own company! She puts in a lot of effort. 💪 We went to see wild kangaroos. 🦘 She was able to communicate with them, which was amazing! We also saw lots of migrating birds. The restaurant she recommended was also delicious and a local favorite. I hope she keeps doing better.

We were fortunate to spend three exceptional days with Anita, on a wonderfully well-organized tour. Thanks to her extensive naturalist knowledge, we were able to observe the flora and fauna in their natural habitat, without ever disturbing them. Each area we crossed was presented with clarity and passion, which allowed us to better understand the local ecosystems.
The vehicles used are perfectly suited to the various excursions, including 4x4s when necessary. Safety is always taken into account, with precise explanations of potential risks and the instructions to follow.
I would also like to highlight Anita's friendliness and infectious enthusiasm, which greatly contributed to the quality of our experience.
A big thank you also to David for his personalized welcome to his estate. Despite the language barrier, he generously showed us the small botanical details of his land. Bravo for his commitment to the environment and biodiversity.
Finally, Anita was a great help with the German translation, as we have great difficulty with English. She also arranged our return transfer between the airport and the hotel, despite the access constraints.
Impeccable organization, a respectful approach to nature, and passionate people: we recommend them without hesitation.

I had a wonderful day with Anita at Mount Tambourine. It is a stunningly beautiful area but greatly enhanced by Anita sharing her knowledge of the trees, birds and animals we encountered on our walks. Coffee and cake, then a delicious lunch completed a thoroughly enjoyable and informative day.

Brisbane Nature Tours - An Unforgettable Day on Minjerribah
I recently had the pleasure of experiencing a day trip with Brisbane Nature Tours to Minjerribah (North Stradbroke Island), and it was truly exceptional. Our guide Anita crafted an experience that perfectly balanced natural beauty, cultural education, and local cuisine.
The day began with a scenic ferry ride to the island, followed by our first stop at the studio of respected local Indigenous artist Delvene Cockatoo Collins. This thoughtful introduction to the island provided valuable context about the natural materials sourced from various locations and set the tone for a day of authentic experiences.
The highlights continued with the stunning Gorge Walk, where we were treated to breathtaking coastal views. One of the most magical moments was encountering kangaroos and koalas in their natural habitat - not in a zoo, but living freely in their home environment.
Brown Lake was another standout experience. Swimming in its tea tree-infused waters was both refreshing and therapeutic. Our lunch featured the local delicacy of Moreton Bay bugs, which was absolutely delicious and perfectly showcased the region's seafood.
What truly sets this tour apart is Anita's genuine passion for the region. Her deep knowledge and obvious connections with local communities ensured we were welcomed warmly wherever we went. She provided rich context about the destination that transformed what could have been just a pretty sightseeing trip into a meaningful cultural experience.
If you're looking for a day trip from Brisbane that offers natural beauty, wildlife encounters, and cultural insights, I cannot recommend Brisbane Nature Tours and Anita highly enough. This tour is the perfect way to experience the wonders of Minjerribah with a guide who truly cares about creating authentic and respectful experiences.

Anita was incredible! This tour was so much fun. We hiked through the pouring rain with the cyclone coming, and she was such a trooper. We were able to see koalas, kangaroo & the coast. It was the perfect day despite rainy weather!

We had a wonderful tour with Anita. She picked us up at the cruise port, we had a great tour of Stradbroke Island, and then she dropped us off at the airport. We saw wonderful views on our walk along the ocean, ate a yummy prawn/shrimp roll by Brown Lake, and Anita provided some tea/coffee and some snacks (lunch was on our own but the place Anita recommended for take away sandwich to eat at the lake was top notch!!). Anita also spotted a kangaroo family and a Koala on the way back to the ferry. It was so nice to see them in their natural habitat!! I would highly recommend this tour!
